Manvers Street
Manvers Street was based on the Nottingham Goods Station as it was in the 1920’s.
Although having only 8ft x 2ft for the public viewing section which meant that inevitable
compromises had to be made, however signalling, stock and buildings were totally
authentic. It was the Club’s first layout built to the demanding scale P4 -
Another first for the club is that it would have been DCC, that is, computer operated train control.
The 12ft X 2ft layout, including the 4ft long fiddle yard had already been exhibited several times to encouraging critical acclaim. It was due for completion by the end of 2008.
Manvers Street was also lost during the clubroom fire in November 2008.
