Bingham MRC Open Weekend 2009
The club’s Open Weekend at Whatton Village Hall was a great success in 2009.
Following the fire in November 2008, the club had nothing to exhibit at it’s own event. However local clubs and traders rallied round and we were overwhelmed by the support we received.
Money raised has helped to fund construction of the club’s new layouts, and we are hoping for the same success at our 2010 event in April.

New Clubroom Opening Event
On 16th July 2009, Tony Wright, Editor of British Railway Modelling Magazine, officially opened Bingham MRC’s new clubroom.
This was a momentous occasion for the members as it finally signalled a new start following the fire which destroyed the previous clubroom in 2008.
Tony was made to feel very welcome and he presented Club Chairman Mark Shipman with a limited edition model of The Flying Scotsman.
He also invited all club members to pay a visit to see his new layout, Little Bytham.
